I set my GoPro all up one of the stacks on the 1502. They really just throw fuel in there! My nose also tells me I’m running a little rich.

If its just the idle circuit that is rich, you can lean it out using a vacuum gauge pretty easily. The more vacuum the better the tune, essentially. Or obviously re-jet of necessary.
Or swap that thing over to EFI! It's easier than you think!

I would really like to find someone who walk me through tuning/balancing in person. I had a guy who was going to but he got busy then I did now we can’t go outside for a while ... so hopefully in the future.
I’d go for EFI although I’m not sure what the popular setups are for 02s. I’m much more comfortable with electronics than mechanics although I’m getting there.

You can still put on a wideband O2 gauge in the exhaust, to see how it’s tuned

I knew absolutely nothing about carbs when I bought my El Camino. I spent hours and hours watching videos and reading and then dove in. My advice is to make a simple chart that notes your base setup (what jets, idle setting, etc -also take pics of everything - a nd the start fiddling. Some carb manufacturers will have charts that detail what jets suit what applications, etc. Then simply tune to the highest vacuum (adjust the idle leaner or richer and reset the idle rpms after each adjustment). If you are able to easily he original settings, there’s no risk of screwing things up. Nows the perfect time to learn!
But Holley makes a 2 barrel EFI!
